About us
Inland Block Media was created to shine a spotlight on the voices, stories, and talent that make the Inland Empire and surrounding communities unique. From artists and entrepreneurs to local businesses and cultural leaders, our mission is simple: document the movement, amplify the people, and preserve the stories shaping our region.
Founder Kyle Carignan grew up in the Inland Empire, moving around often and experiencing the region from multiple perspectives — especially while living in Highland, Redlands, Mentone, Yucaipa, and Calimesa. That upbringing created a deep connection to the community and a strong appreciation for the diverse people, cultures, and stories that exist throughout the IE.
From 2015 to 2017, Kyle worked at Katz Alley/Clash City Station, where he advanced through several roles starting as a bouncer, then serving as a stage manager, and eventually becoming part of the ownership team. When Katz Alley and Clash City Station dissolved in 2017, Kyle became a part owner of the newly established Clash City Entertainment. Since then, he has remained actively involved in the company, gaining extensive experience in live event production, artist relations, talent development, promotions, and grassroots entertainment throughout Southern California.
Kyle later attended Azusa Pacific University, studying Computer Information Systems with an emphasis in Business Management, where he developed a strong foundation in technology, media, and organizational strategy. During his senior year, a major family health emergency led him to step away from school to support his family — a decision that reshaped his path and pushed him to apply what he had learned in the real world.
In 2021, Kyle was invited by childhood friend Sam Works to co-host the radio show Whatever Works on KCAA, marking another major step into media and broadcasting. The show ran through 2025 and gave him years of experience in interviewing, live production, storytelling, and connecting with audiences across the region. As media personalities, Kyle and Sam were invited to Only Empire Now’s Award Show beginning in its first year, and Kyle has personally played a role in the event each year since. In 2025, he was officially asked to join the Only Empire Now Council, further deepening his involvement in supporting and recognizing creative talent across the Inland Empire.
In 2022, Kyle joined the Native Sons of the Golden West, quickly stepping into leadership as an officer during his first year and serving as Vice President in his second. Since June of last year, he has served as President of Arrowhead Parlor #110. Through this role, he has been deeply involved in historical preservation, community events, and local outreach — experiences that closely align with the mission of Inland Block Media. His work with the organization reinforces his commitment to documenting the Inland Empire’s stories, honoring its history, and strengthening connections within the community.

That moment became a turning point.
Instead of waiting for opportunities, Kyle began creating them. With a background in technology, business, live entertainment, broadcasting, leadership, and community involvement, he launched Inland Block Media as a platform dedicated to telling authentic stories — not just from the spotlight, but from the streets, studios, small businesses, and everyday people building something meaningful.
Today, Inland Block Media focuses on:
Interviewing artists, creatives, and entrepreneurs
Highlighting local businesses and community leaders
Covering culture, music, and innovation in and beyond the Inland Empire
Building a digital archive of the region’s growth and identity
We believe the Inland Empire is more than a place — it’s a movement, a culture, and a network of driven individuals who deserve to be seen and heard.
Inland Block Media exists to document that story
